Kate moved Tonto here in Mid-August, 2011. She started taking lessons on him immediately, and liked her lessons so much, that she decided to put Tonto in daily training/lessons pkg. Well, Matt has come so far along in his training that we have decided to lease him from the Kunce's for my son Doran for the 4-H, Open Show, and APHA 2011 show season. Doran will be showing Matt in the following events: Halter/Showmanship, Novice Youth Hunter UnderSaddle, Novice Youth Equitation, Novice Youth Western Pleasure, Novice Youth Western Horsemanship, 4-H Sr. Events in the Pleasure divisions, Hunter Hack, and State Fair(if unsold by then). Well, again, Karla and Shiner's third lesson went so well, it was unbelievable! The mare has learned how to be clipped quietly, bathe quietly, and work for karla relaxed and quiet, even next to truck traffic and rode traffic.(even a harley that whizzed by). Everything with the mare is coming along beautifully. Karla has taken Shiner to Hoosier National Forest this weekend for an All-cowgirl Trailride weekend. Well, what a successful day on May 10, 2011 with Shiner and owner Karla Heckathorn. Karla arrived for her lesson on Shiner at 1pm. I had just finished clipping Shiner, IN THE CROSSTIES, with no pulling back or issues of any kind. Shiner was wonderful even with her ears. Karla was so thrilled to hear how well she did clipping and how Shiner has learned to stand in the crossties quietly.
